Wanaparthy: G Venkateswarlu, the Additional Collector, warned that strict measures will be taken against lorry drivers or owners who demand money from farmers at paddy collection centers.

On Saturday, he visited the Gollapalli paddy center to inspect operations. He also checked centers in Talpanur, Sakalapalli, Repalli, Gopalpet, and Chirkapalli.

During his visit, he reassured farmers that they should not worry, as all paddy will be transported soon. “Every grain will be collected,” he promised. To speed up the process, more lorries will be provided for quicker transport. He advised farmers to use tarpaulins to protect their paddy from rain.
