In Hyderabad, the Telangana State Cyber Security Bureau (TSCSB) worked with the Telangana State Legal Services Authority (TSLSA) to help victims in 546 cybercrime cases. They were able to get back Rs 2.19 crore for the victims.

Shikha Goel, the Additional DG and Director of TSCSB, explained that they created simple rules for the police and courts to follow. This made it easier for victims to get their money back quickly. This was the first time they were able to help victims in this way. Because of the quick actions of TSCSB and NCRP monitoring officers, Telangana was one of the top five states in India for freezing or safeguarding money from fraudsters’ bank accounts in cybercrime cases.
