    Under the leadership of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, TS Power utilities in Hyderabad have achieved a record peak demand of 15,497 Megawatts on March 30, 2023. This surpasses the previous peak demand of 13,162 Megawatts in the united Andhra Pradesh on March 23, 2014. The power utilities are now prepared to meet a load of up to 17,000 MW in the near future. Telangana SLDC (State Load Dispatch Center) is recognized as one of the top three SLDCs in the country for its adherence to the Indian Electricity Grid Code (IEGC) and its use of advanced technologies in maintaining grid discipline.

    Since the formation of Telangana state, significant investment of Rs.40,017 Crores has been made to strengthen the transmission and distribution network. This has resulted in the historic achievement of providing 24-hour power supply to 27.7 lakh agriculture pump sets in Telangana state since January 1, 2018, bringing relief to farmers. The contracted capacity has also increased from 7,778 MW in June 2, 2014, to 18,756 MW currently, which is an increase of 10,978 MW.
