    The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) has achieved a new record on Raksha Bandhan. They earned a record revenue of Rs 22.65 crores in a single day and had 40.92 lakh people traveling in TSRTC buses on that day. This is the highest revenue ever collected by TSRTC on Rakhi festival, surpassing last year’s income of Rs 21.66 crores. The number of passengers also increased by one lakh compared to last year.

    In terms of Occupancy Ratio (OR), the combined Nalgonda district had an impressive record of 104.68 percent, surpassing last year’s record of 101.01 percent. Except for the Narket Pally depot, all the depots in the district achieved more than 100 percent OR. Similarly, the Warangal district recorded a 97.05 percent OR with six depots achieving more than 100 percent OR. The combined districts of Medak, Mahbubnagar, and Karimnagar also recorded an OR of over 90 percent. In total, 20 depots in the state achieved an OR of over 100 percent.

    All the buses in these depots were full of passengers, including Huzurabad, Nalgonda, Bhupalapally, Husnabad, Parakala, Kalwakurti, Thorrur, Mahabubabad, Miryalaguda, Devarakonda, Yadagirigutta, Gajvel-Prajnapur, Kodada, Narsampeta, Suryapet, Dubbaka, Janagama, Siddipet, Godavarikhani, and Shadnagar depots.

    TSRTC also set a new record for Earnings per Kilometer (EPK). The Warangal-1 depot earned Rs. 65.94 per km and the Bhupalapally depot earned Rs. 65.64 per km.

    TSRTC Managing Director VC Sajjanar expressed gratitude to the passengers for their support and stated that such a feat had not been achieved in the history of combined Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
