The Telangana VFX, Animation, and Gaming Association (TVAGA) has announced an exciting new competition called the Unreal Cinematic Challenge. This competition will be held at WAVES 2025 (World Audio and Video Entertainment Summit) in Mumbai.
The event aims to bring together top talent from the VFX, animation, and gaming industries to push the boundaries of virtual cinematic storytelling. It also aligns with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Create in India’ initiative, which encourages the development of homegrown digital content.
The Unreal Cinematic Challenge is open to both professionals and students. Participants will get an opportunity to showcase their creativity and technical skills using Unreal Engine. Each competitor will begin with a 10-second base animation sequence and must enhance it using Unreal Engine’s Sequencer tool, while following the given camera animation guidelines.
