The twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad have experienced unseasonal rains in the last few days, leading to a drop in temperature and providing great relief to citizens. Last week, the temperature had crossed 40 degrees, but the sudden rainfall caused a significant decrease in temperature. However, the Meteorological Department has predicted that the heat will intensify in most districts and twin cities of Telangana from April 10, leading to an increase in temperature.

Private weather experts have also predicted an overall dry spell next week, which will cause the temperature to rise in Hyderabad and other districts. Although light rains are expected from April 11 onwards, the weather will mostly be dry throughout the week. The Telangana State Development Planning Society has warned that night temperatures will also soar to 23 degrees Celsius.

While some districts such as Nizamabad, Nirmal, Adilabad, Kumuram Bheem Asifabad, Jagtial and Mancherial are expected to receive very light to light rains for the next three days, the maximum temperatures will still rise across all districts. The recent rainfall, thunderstorms and hailstorm have caused a significant drop in maximum and minimum temperatures in all districts of Telangana, including Hyderabad. The maximum temperatures in Telangana districts decreased from 2.8-5.8 degrees Celsius from the normal temperature.
