Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Commissioner’s Task Force and Lalaguda police have dismantled a fake job scam. They arrested two people, Naseem Banu (40) and Syed Adil (23), for deceiving 11 individuals of Rs 35 lakh by promising jobs and visas in foreign countries. Both have past records under the Emigration Act. Authorities seized nine Indian passports, five fake visiting visas, and mobile phones. Two others involved, Fathima and Rekha, are missing.
Naseem created a plan to start a consultancy offering jobs and visas. She opened World Wide Overseas Consultants (WWOC) in Tarnaka, Secunderabad, employing outsourced staff and her sister Fathima.
Ande Srinivasa Rao, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Task Force, explained, “Naseem advertised her consultancy on social media like Facebook, promoting affordable job and visa services to places like Singapore, Australia, Russia, and Mauritius. People from Nizamabad District and Hyderabad City approached her, paying around Rs 35,08,000 and submitting passports for visa processing.”
Instead of fulfilling her promises, Naseem gave fake visas and job offer letters. When victims asked for their money back, she cut off communication, ignored calls, and suddenly left her office.
