UPSC Exam Passed by Head Constable of Delhi Police

Ram Bhajan Kumar, a 34-year-old head constable for the Delhi Police, passed the competitive Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) exam on Tuesday as one of 933 successful candidates. Ram was very happy and his father even shed tears when they received the news. This was Ram’s second to last attempt, and he is now an inspiration to many as he never gave up on his dream.

Ram studied for 7-8 hours every day and even took off time to study for 16 hours a day, take practice exams, and increase his study time. When Ram joined the force in 2009, he was assigned to Vijay Ghat in the CP reserve. He worked there for a while before being transferred to the Shahbad Dairy police station, where he was later promoted.

Ram’s family is very proud of him as he is the first member of his family to earn a graduate degree. He passed the civil services examination on his eighth try with a rank of 667. Ram is now preparing to retake the test with the goal of getting even better grades. On May 28, there will be a preliminary exam.
