Wanaparthy: A criminal case has been filed against Aasiz Rice Mill after it was reported that government paddy worth ₹8.65 crore had gone missing.
According to officials, the rice millers took grain from the government with the responsibility of processing it and returning the rice. Instead, they allegedly sold the grain without returning the processed rice as required.
District Magistrate Jaganmohan confirmed that a case has been filed. He explained that any rice mill that receives government grain must return the processed rice on time. If any grain is found missing, strict legal action will be taken.
The officials have made it clear that such actions will not be tolerated, and mills failing to follow the rules will face criminal charges.
