Warangal has become a battleground for Congress leaders vying for the Lok Sabha ticket. The list of contenders is long, including Dommati Sambaiah, Namindla Srinivas, Jannu Paramjyothi, Ragamalla Parameshwar, Boddu Sunitha, S Prasad Raju, and S Indira.

Initially, it seemed like A Revanth Reddy favored Dommati Sambaiah for the ticket, with S Indira and Namindla Srinivas also in the running. However, new names recommended by MLAs have complicated the decision-making process for the Congress high command.

The entry of sitting BRS MP Pasunuri Dayakar into the Congress has added another layer of complexity. Although Dayakar has not been promised the ticket, he has expressed interest in contesting for the Warangal Lok Sabha seat.

To make matters more confusing, the Congress has conducted a quick survey to assess the candidates’ chances of winning. Financial status is also being taken into consideration. It is expected that a final decision on the Warangal Lok Sabha ticket will be made after the festival of Holi.
