Hyderabad: Lawmakers from the former Warangal area have accused Endowments Minister Konda Surekha and her family of harming the party’s reputation. They seek action against her, claiming she interferes in their work. On Thursday, these legislators met with the party’s disciplinary committee.
The group, which included MLAs Kadiyam Srihari, Nayini Rajender Reddy, K R Nagaraju, Revuri Prakash Reddy, and MLC Basavaraju Saraiah, spoke with Mallu Ravi, the committee chairman. They demanded action against Konda Surekha and Konda Murali for reportedly damaging the party’s image in Warangal. This meeting followed a complaint by Konda Murali, who claimed the MLAs were acting against the party and trying to push him out politically. He had previously given a detailed report to the committee.
Mallu Ravi led the disciplinary committee meeting, which focused on the conflict involving the Konda family and several MLAs from Warangal. The committee is reviewing the issue from various angles and will report its conclusions to AICC State in-charge Meenakshi Natarajan and other top party officials. A decision is anticipated after further discussions.
Recently, Konda Murali submitted a 16-page report outlining his perspective. Over recent weeks, many Warangal MLAs have accused the Konda family of inappropriate comments and involvement in areas outside their jurisdiction. These leaders had previously raised their concerns with Telangana Congress in-charge Meenakshi Natarajan and the TPCC Disciplinary Committee led by Nagarkurnool MP Mallu Ravi.
