Christina Z Chongthu, Secretary to the Government Health Medical & Family Welfare Department, visited an under-construction multi super-specialty hospital in Warangal. She was accompanied by commissioner R V Karnan and joint secretary T Vinay Krishna Reddy. They reviewed the progress of the work with Warangal district collector P Pravinya.
During the inspection, Christina asked about the medical equipment available in various hospitals like MGM Hospital, Government Eye Hospital, CKM Maternity Hospital, and TB Hospital. She also discussed which medical wings would be relocated to the new multi-super-specialty hospital.
Following that, the officials visited different wards in MGM Hospital and inspected the Cath lab and dialysis unit in the PMSSY super-specialty hospital located at Kakatiya Medical College. MGM Hospital superintendent Dr V Chandrasekhar and heads of other hospitals were also present during the visit.
