In the IPL 2023 match between Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK), LSG is missing their regular captain KL Rahul and Jaydev Unadkat due to injuries. During the LSG innings, Moeen Ali caught a ball hit by Karan Sharma and dismissed him. This left CSK captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni stunned. The incident occurred in the 10th over when Sharma tried to hit Moeen Ali’s ball down the ground but hit it straight back to Moeen Ali who caught it with a reverse cup. CSK won the toss and chose to bowl first. They had a great start, dismissing half of the LSG side with only 44 runs on board within 10 overs. However, Ayush Badoni and Nicholas Pooran steadied the ship with a 59-run stand for the sixth wicket. Badoni continued his fine form to bring up his fifty in just 30 balls. The rain gods opened up once again on the day with just four balls remaining in the LSG innings.
