In the third ward of Pebbair municipality, drinking water has been leaking onto CC roads for the past three months due to a damaged pipeline. Despite this ongoing issue, authorities have not taken any action to fix the problem.

District Collector Aadarsh Surabhi had instructed officials to ensure sufficient water supply for the upcoming summer and prevent shortages. However, due to the negligence of lower-level officials, drinking water continues to be wasted, even as the town faces a water crisis.

The leakage occurred because heavy objects were placed on the pipeline, causing it to break. Residents had previously been advised not to place objects on the pipeline, but municipal officials ignored their complaints. Despite earlier warnings, no preventive measures were taken to avoid this situation.
