The Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, hinted that he will criticize the State government during his visit to Mahabubnagar. He promised to speak from his heart and address the concerns of the people. It is unclear who he will specifically target. The wait for his speech in Mahabubnagar is just a short while away.

Before his visit, posters opposing Modi’s visit were displayed in Hyderabad. These posters, placed by unidentified individuals, criticize Modi and claim that he has shown unfair treatment towards Telangana. They compare the national status given to projects in Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka with the lack of national status for the Palamuru project in Telangana. The posters accuse Modi of having a stepmother’s love for Telangana and argue that he has no moral right to visit Mahabubnagar.
