The Bathukamma festival celebrations took a tragic turn when a woman had her gold jewellery stolen while playing the festival at Shivalayam temple in Mulugu district. The victim, Komuravelli Rajamani, joined thousands of women at the temple to participate in the festivities. However, shortly after her arrival, unidentified individuals stole her gold chain weighing approximately six tolas, which is worth around Rs. 3.5 lakh.

The organisers immediately announced the incident through the mic at the venue and asked anyone who may have taken or found the chain to return it. Unfortunately, no one came forward, so the organisers decided to report the theft to the police.
