Rajanna Sircilla is witnessing a new push for women’s economic growth. Government Whip and Vemulawada MLA Aadi Srinivas encouraged farmers to support fertilizer and seed shops managed by women’s groups in the district.
On Saturday, Srinivas, along with Collector Sandeep Kumar Jha, opened shops in Bollaram village and Chandurthi mandal. These shops are operated by the Sri Sivarama Mahila Sangham and the Tulasi Samaikya Mahila Sangham.
Srinivas explained that these shops aim to do more than sell agricultural supplies. They offer women a chance to gain financial independence and manage their own businesses.
The Indira Mahila Shakti scheme already supports women with various self-employment options, like canteens, dairy farms, poultry businesses, RTC bus services, and gas stations. Future plans include rice mills and solar projects to broaden opportunities for women.
By choosing these outlets, farmers can significantly contribute to women’s financial freedom. “Our aim is to help one crore women in the state become millionaires,” Srinivas stated.
