Bhupalapally: District Collector Rahul Sharma checked the Moranchaapalli stream flood with irrigation officials on Saturday. He told both the public and officials to stay alert due to the rising water levels.

With a red alert in place, he called for machinery teams and locals to be on high alert. He directed all relevant departments to act quickly and start rescue operations if needed.

He advised predicting flood situations early and giving the public timely warnings. Following the weather department’s guidance, he ordered staff to stay at their posts and manage rescue operations across the district until Sunday.

He emphasized that areas with flooded roads must have strict travel restrictions.

He insisted that revenue, police, and panchayat raj staff must ensure proper barricades and traffic control.
