YSRTP announces decision to withdraw from TS elections

YSRTP party president YS Sharmila made a surprising announcement on Friday. She stated that her party will not be participating in the Telangana assembly elections. Instead, they will be offering their full support to the Congress party in the elections.
Sharmila expressed her respect for both Congress leaders and activists. During a recent meeting with Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi in Delhi, she felt welcomed and considered as a family member.
Sharmila had initially intended to contest in this election and field candidates on behalf of her party. She was confident in her ability to win as an MLA and enter the Assembly. However, she decided against it to prevent splitting the anti-KCR vote. She believes there is a high chance of KCR losing in this election and wants to avoid hindering the Congress party’s chances of winning. She urged all party members to understand her decision.
