The Telangana government has set aside Rs 12,393 crore for the Health, Medical, and Family Welfare Department. This funding aims to improve healthcare services and strengthen the medical sector in the state.

Finance Minister Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu stated that since December 2023, the government has released Rs 1,215 crore to various hospitals under the Aarogyasri scheme. This amount is 50% more than previous allocations. The scheme provides free medical treatment to 2.84 crore people in Telangana, ensuring they have access to quality healthcare.

To receive more funds under the National Health Mission (NHM), the state government has been releasing its share on time. This has helped Telangana secure higher financial support than before.
