Hyderabad is buzzing with excitement as it welcomes the 72nd Miss World Festival 2025. This international event has brought together 109 contestants from all over the globe, and more participants are expected to arrive soon.
Each contestant represents their country or territory, carrying their culture and a mission close to their heart. The event follows the Miss World theme, “Beauty with a Purpose,” highlighting not just beauty but also meaningful causes and social impact.
Participants have come from across continents. Countries with strong pageant roots like India, the United States, Venezuela, and South Africa are in the spotlight. There are also contestants from diverse regions such as Guadeloupe, Gibraltar, Martinique, and Curaçao, showcasing a rich mix of traditions and stories.
India’s Nandini Gupta, the host nation’s representative, stands alongside prominent global contenders. These include Athenna Crosby from the United States, a well-known actress and TV personality; Emma Morrison of Canada, an Indigenous advocate and talented craft artist; and Valeria Caññavo from Venezuela, a country famous for its pageant winners.
In the lead-up to the grand finale, the contestants will get to explore the beauty and innovation of Telangana. A series of cultural events, heritage tours, and social projects will give them a deeper understanding of the region. All of this will build up to the grand finale on May 31, held at HITEX in Hyderabad.
This marks a historic first—India and Telangana are hosting the Miss World event for the second year in a row. It’s a proud moment for the country, showcasing its tradition, progress, and world-class hospitality on the global stage.
