1,659 people receive Indiramma house documents

In Warangal, the Congress party is taking steps to fulfill the housing needs of the poor by advancing the Indiramma Houses initiative. Environment Minister Konda Surekha announced that the government has approved 3,500 houses for each constituency, offering Rs 5 lakh in aid. The goal is to build 20 lakh houses for those in need.

Konda Surekha handed out approval documents to 1,659 beneficiaries in the Warangal East area. She encouraged recipients to finish building their homes quickly. More approvals will follow after checks are completed.

Greater Warangal Mayor Gundu Sudharani assured that all eligible individuals would receive houses in stages. She praised Chief Minister Revanth Reddy for launching various welfare programs, especially those aimed at women. Warangal district collector Satya Sharada emphasized transparency in the scheme’s implementation, noting that the Rs 5 lakh will be deposited in beneficiaries’ accounts in three installments. Additionally, beneficiaries will receive free sand.

Former MLC Konda Muralidhar Rao mentioned plans to extend the housing scheme to all eligible individuals in Warangal East, including those in slum areas, who will also receive land rights.

GWMC Commissioner Chahat Bajpai urged beneficiaries to begin construction within 10 days.
