A new short film logo was launched on Monday at the Collectorate meeting hall in Adilabad to educate people about lightning safety. District Collector Rajarshi Shah, along with Additional Collector Shyamala Devi and DPRO Tirumala, introduced this initiative. The project was spearheaded by the District Public Relations Officer (DPRO), following guidance from district officials, and was developed in partnership with Saradhi cultural artists.

The Collector mentioned that recent lightning-related deaths in the district inspired the film. Created with the support of Saradhi artists, the film aims to teach the community about staying safe during lightning storms. “Taking safety measures during lightning can prevent tragedies,” said Collector Rajarshi Shah.

He pointed out that dark clouds, thunder, and lightning flashes signal potential danger, urging the public to be cautious. Many incidents involve people and animals, especially those working in fields or seeking shelter under trees, becoming victims of lightning. The film’s purpose is to show how to protect oneself and identify safe places during such storms. The Collector advised that during thunderstorms, it’s best to stay indoors.
