    Hyderabad: A 17-year-old boy named Mohammed Ibrahim died after being kicked in the stomach by a horse during a Moharram procession in the city on Wednesday.

    Ibrahim lived in Ghazi-e-Millat colony and was studying at a private college. On Wednesday evening, he went to attend the Alam procession at Engine Bowli, Falaknuma with his friends.

    The police reported that Ibrahim was walking with other participants when a horse in the procession kicked him in the stomach. He fell to the ground and was taken to the hospital after complaining of stomach pain.

    Doctors at the hospital advised Ibrahim’s family to move him to another hospital for better treatment. However, his family decided to take him home instead.

    Two days later, Ibrahim’s stomach pain worsened, and his family took him to Osmania General Hospital. Doctors there found that his liver was damaged. Unfortunately, Ibrahim died while undergoing treatment on Sunday.

    A case has been registered, and an investigation is ongoing.
