Hyderabad: Two members of the Railway Protection Force (RPF) from South Central Railway have been honored with the President’s Police Medal on the 79th Independence Day of 2025 for their outstanding service.
The recipients are Gollamudi Madhusudana Rao, Divisional Security Commissioner from RPF/Guntur, and K. Rajagopala Reddy, Assistant Security Commissioner from RPF/Renigunta.
Sanjay Kumar Srivastava, General Manager of SCR, praised the awardees for their dedication. He expressed pride in their national recognition and highlighted their role in ensuring passenger and property safety. He noted this achievement as significant not only for the RPF but for the entire SCR zone.
Gollamudi Madhusudana Rao started as a Sub-Inspector in 1989. His career includes roles as Sub-Inspector and Inspector across various SCR divisions. As Assistant Security Commissioner, he served at the Railway Board, Rail Wheel Factory/Yelahanka, Hubballi Division/SWR, 7th Bn/RPSF/Moula-Ali, and Vijayawada Division between 2014 and 2025.
K. Rajagopala Reddy previously received the Indian Police Medal in 2012 during Republic Day. He served as a Police Advisor in United Nations Peacekeeping Missions in Kosovo and South Sudan for around two years and earned four United Nations Peacekeeping Medals.
