    287 Haj pilgrims depart for Mecca

    Hyderabad – On Tuesday, the fifth group of Haj pilgrims from Telangana took off from Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Shamshabad. This latest flight carried 287 pilgrims heading to the sacred cities of Mecca and Madina in Saudi Arabia.

    With this flight, the total number of pilgrims from Telangana who have arrived in Madina has reached 1,379.

    The send-off was led by Syed Gulam Afzal Biyabani Khusro Pasha, Chairman of the Telangana State Haj Committee, and Maulana Ahsan bin Al Hamoomi, Imam of the Royal Mosque at Public Garden. Many emotional family members gathered at the airport to say goodbye to their loved ones, creating a heartfelt scene.

    During the farewell, Khusro Pasha reminded the pilgrims to honor the sacredness of the holy sites. He told them, “Show respect to Makkah and Madinah. Be patient, avoid complaints, and focus on prayers.” He also encouraged younger pilgrims to support the elderly throughout the journey.

    Sajjad Ali, the Executive Officer of the Telangana Haj Committee, welcomed the pilgrims and wished them a safe and meaningful pilgrimage.

    Also present at the event were Md. Mujeebuddin, Md. Layeeq, members of the Telangana Haj Committee, along with Irfan Shareef, Assistant Executive Officer, and Md. Samiuddin, Assistant Director of Minority Welfare.

    The Haj pilgrimage remains a deeply spiritual and emotional journey for many, and Telangana continues to support its citizens in making this once-in-a-lifetime trip.
