In a shocking incident that has raised serious questions about the handling of crucial identity documents, more than 500 Voter ID cards were discovered abandoned on a roadside in Jalpally, Pahadi Shareef, in the old city area of Hyderabad. The cards were found dumped in an India Post Office bag near Jalpally Forest Park, at a time when the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls is currently underway across Telangana state. Passersby who spotted the abandoned bag immediately alerted local media and police authorities about the discovery.

The Pahadi Shareef Police responded promptly to the information and reached the location to take the bag containing the voter cards into custody.
