Hyderabad: The pilot survey for mapping 413 villages without maps for decades in the state is underway. Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy announced that five villages have successfully completed this survey. The maps for these villages will be finalized soon under the Survey Boundaries Act.
On Wednesday, the Minister evaluated the survey progress at the Secretariat. He highlighted that since the Nizam’s era, these villages have lacked proper maps. The previous government ignored these areas over the last ten years. To address this, the Congress government initiated a pilot survey using advanced technology.
The survey was conducted in Salar Nagar (Gandid mandal, Mahabubnagar district), Kommanapalli (Kothadi) (Bheerpur mandal, Jagtial district), Mulugumada (Yerrupalem mandal, Khammam district), Nuguru (Venkatapuram mandal, Mulugu district), and Shahid Nagar (Vatpalli mandal, Sangareddy district).
Authorities plan to issue notices to landowners following regulations. Village councils will be held to consider landowners’ objections before finalizing individual land survey boundaries.
