Hyderabad: The Telangana High Court provided relief to Group-1 selected candidates by temporarily halting a previous order that nullified the final marks list and ranking for re-evaluation.
A panel including Chief Justice Aparesh Kumar Singh and Justice GM Mohiuddin issued this temporary order. They reviewed appeals from the Telangana State Public Service Commission (TGPSC) and some successful Group-1 exam candidates.
Lawyers representing those who initially sought to cancel the Group-1 exam asked the court to maintain the current situation. However, the chief justice-led bench dismissed these requests, stating that the TGPSC appointments and decisions would depend on the final decision of the appeals.
Advocate General A Sudarshan Reddy and senior lawyer D Prakash Reddy represented the appellants. Meanwhile, senior lawyer Rachna Reddy argued for those wanting the exam canceled.
After hearing all arguments, the bench instructed everyone to submit written statements by October 10. The court scheduled a detailed hearing for October 15.
