Hyderabad: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) recently caught Bhoopala Mahesh, a revenue inspector in the Musheerabad mandal. He was found accepting a Rs 25,000 bribe to issue a family member’s certificate. This document is crucial for many official tasks. Initially, Mahesh asked for Rs 1 lakh. After a complaint, ACB set a trap and captured him with part of the bribe.

Investigations continue. In a separate incident, ACB arrested another revenue inspector, G Krishna, from the Ibrahimpatnam mandal in Ranga Reddy district. He allegedly demanded Rs 12 lakh to adjust a property record in Adibatla village. The bribe was to ensure the file progressed smoothly through the RDO office and to influence higher officials.
