Hyderabad: Hyderabad has added another global technology company to its rapidly expanding Global Capability Centre (GCC) ecosystem, with cloud ERP company Acumatica establishing a new Global Capability Centre in the city.
The move strengthens Hyderabad’s position as a major destination for global engineering, technology and enterprise software operations. Acumatica’s India expansion comes as the company scales its international operations and looks to build additional engineering, development, services and support capabilities.
Acumatica Sets Up New India Operation
Acumatica announced in March 2026 that it had launched a new operation in India as part of a wider expansion of its international footprint. The company said the India operation would provide customer and partner support as well as engineering expertise.
According to Acumatica, the new international offices are being established with engineers, developers, services and support professionals to help support the company’s growing global customer and partner ecosystem.
The company has grown significantly in recent years. Acumatica said it had expanded from around 240 employees to more than 800 employees over the preceding six years and had crossed the 10,000-customer milestone. Its partner ecosystem has also grown to more than 500 partners.
Acumatica’s official announcement described the India operation as an important part of its strategy to provide stronger direct support and engineering capabilities to customers and partners globally.
Hyderabad Centre Already Building Its Team
Professional profiles of employees associated with Acumatica provide additional evidence that the India operation is being established in Hyderabad.
Saikumar Bikumala, who identifies himself as a Lead Business Analyst at Acumatica, recently described joining the company’s newly formed Global Capability Centre in Hyderabad. He said the centre was in its early stages, with fewer than 10 colleagues on the ground at the time of his post.
The early team includes business-analysis and technology expertise, indicating that the Hyderabad operation is being positioned not simply as a back-office support unit but as a centre capable of contributing to Acumatica’s global product and business operations.
Acumatica India Registered in Hyderabad
Public corporate records also point to Hyderabad as the base of Acumatica’s Indian entity.
Acumatica India Private Limited was incorporated in December 2025 and is registered with the Registrar of Companies in Hyderabad. Public corporate records list its registered and headquarters address at Reliance Cyber Ville, Vittal Rao Nagar, Madhapur, Hyderabad.
The company is classified as a subsidiary of a foreign-incorporated company and operates in the computer programming, consultancy and related activities sector.
Why Hyderabad?
Acumatica’s decision comes at a time when Hyderabad is attracting a growing number of multinational companies looking to establish or expand GCC operations.
The city’s large technology talent pool, established IT infrastructure and presence of major global technology companies have helped it become an increasingly important location for engineering, software development, artificial intelligence, data analytics and other high-value technology functions.
Hyderabad’s GCC ecosystem is also becoming more diversified. Companies are increasingly establishing centres covering areas such as AI, engineering research and development, financial services, life sciences, cybersecurity, cloud computing and digital transformation.
GCC Expansion Accelerates Across Hyderabad
Acumatica’s entry comes alongside a series of other GCC launches and expansions in Hyderabad during 2026.
Recent developments include new or expanded centres by companies such as Aperam, Blupace Tech and GI Outsourcing. Aperam’s Hyderabad centre, for example, is focused on digital solutions, process excellence, engineering and operations, data analytics and shared services.
GI Outsourcing launched an AI-focused GCC in Hyderabad earlier this year, initially with 50 employees and plans to expand its workforce to around 200 by 2028. Blupace Tech has also established a Hyderabad centre focused on technology development, innovation, digital transformation and global delivery.
The growing range of functions being located in Hyderabad suggests that the city’s GCC ecosystem is increasingly moving beyond traditional IT support and back-office operations towards product engineering, innovation and global decision-support functions.
Telangana’s GCC Push
The Telangana government has also been actively positioning the state as a major destination for Global Capability Centres.
Under its longer-term strategy, the state has proposed a comprehensive Telangana GCC Policy 2025–2030, including measures such as financial incentives, infrastructure support, connectivity improvements and research assistance for GCCs.
The government is also looking beyond Hyderabad’s core urban region, with plans to encourage companies to establish GCC operations in Tier-2 and Tier-3 locations across Telangana. Officials have identified corridors around Nizamabad, Karimnagar and Warangal as potential areas for decentralised GCC growth.
Hyderabad’s Next Phase as a Global Technology Hub
For Hyderabad, Acumatica’s new centre adds another global enterprise software company to a technology ecosystem that already includes major players across cloud computing, financial services, artificial intelligence, pharmaceuticals, semiconductors and engineering.
The nature of Acumatica’s India operation is particularly significant because the company has specifically identified engineering expertise, customer support and partner support as key components of its international expansion.
With more multinational companies using Hyderabad for global engineering and technology functions, the city is increasingly competing for higher-value GCC operations rather than only cost-focused service centres.
Whether Hyderabad ultimately becomes the definitive “GCC capital of the next decade” will depend on factors including talent availability, infrastructure, office costs, quality of life and the ability to sustain large-scale hiring. However, Acumatica’s expansion is another indication that the city is becoming an increasingly important part of the global technology and enterprise-services landscape.
