Hyderabad: The Indian Army is currently accepting applications for Agniveer recruitment under the Agnipath scheme. The last date to register is April 10, 2025. Officials have advised all eligible candidates to apply before the deadline.
There are five categories available for recruitment: General Duty, Technical, Clerk/Store Keeper Technical, Tradesman (for Class 10 and Class 8 pass), and Women General Duty in the Corps of Military Police. Candidates can apply for up to two categories, depending on their qualifications.
The selection process includes several steps: online registration, a common entrance exam, a local recruitment rally, a medical check-up, and document verification. The entrance exam is expected to take place in June 2025. The exact date will be announced later.
To make the exam accessible, it will be held in 13 languages. These include English, Hindi, Malayalam, Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Punjabi, Odia, Bengali, Urdu, Gujarati, Marathi, and Assamese.
Candidates who are selected will undergo 31 weeks of training. After serving for four years, up to 25 percent of Agniveers from each group may be offered permanent positions in the Indian Army, depending on the Army’s needs and policies.
