AK Singh becomes Chief Justice of Telangana High Court

Hyderabad: On Saturday, Justice Aparesh Kumar Singh became the Chief Justice of the Telangana High Court. He took the oath of office at Raj Bhavan in Hyderabad, administered by Governor Jishnu Dev Varma.

Justice Singh previously served at the Tripura High Court and now succeeds Justice Sujoy Paul. The ceremony was attended by Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, other cabinet ministers, High Court judges, and dignitaries.

Born on July 7, 1965, Justice Singh has a BA Honours and an LLB from the University of Delhi. He became an Additional Judge at the Jharkhand High Court in 2012 and later the Chief Justice of the Tripura High Court on April 17, 2023 before moving to Telangana.
