Hyderabad: The Telangana government reported significant revenue growth in the first quarter of the 2025-2026 fiscal year. Commercial taxes increased by 1.8%, stamps and registration rose by 3.6%, and the mining sector saw a 7% boost.

During a meeting led by Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, the Cabinet sub-committee on resource mobilization discussed these figures. They evaluated how revenue departments performed. Officials explained that plugging leaks in commercial taxes and ensuring timely tax payments by traders helped increase revenue.

Efforts to improve the mining sector also proved successful. Additionally, the use of IT solutions enhanced the stamps and registration process, leading to higher income.
