Akhilesh Pathak has taken over as the chief general manager of Powergrid, Southern Region Transmission System-I, which includes substations and projects in Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, and part of Karnataka. He has been with Powergrid since starting as an executive trainee in 1993 after graduating in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from Mangalore University. Pathak has over 31 years of experience in various areas of the transmission sector such as O&M, Asset Management, Commercial Operations, Project Environment & Sustainability Management, Business Development, and Consultancy Projects.
Before his current role, he was the chief general manager at Southern Region-I and worked on a Powergrid consultancy project in Nepal.
