Gadwal: The people of Alampur will soon benefit from a new 100-bed government hospital starting Wednesday, July 23. This hospital has been a long-awaited need for the community. Dr. SA Sampath Kumar, the former Alampur MLA and a secretary for the All India Congress Committee (AICC), played a key role in making this happen.
Dr. Sampath Kumar had the hospital approved and built during his earlier time as MLA. However, it was left unused for years because the previous BRS government didn’t hire staff or equip it with medical facilities, leading to public dissatisfaction.
Right before the general elections, the BRS leaders opened the hospital without any medical staff. This move was seen as a political gesture rather than genuine development, leaving the hospital non-operational.
With the new Congress government led by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, Dr. Sampath Kumar focused on activating the hospital. He visited the site, spoke with health officials, and ensured doctors, nurses, and other staff were appointed. Thanks to his efforts, the hospital will start serving the community tomorrow.
Dr. Sampath Kumar stressed that Alampur residents deserve quality healthcare and urged them to utilize the hospital’s services. He also highlighted the Congress government’s dedication to improving healthcare in rural areas.
Locals are thankful and optimistic that the hospital will operate effectively, providing crucial support during emergencies and outbreaks.
This hospital’s opening is seen as a significant step in healthcare and a sign of the Congress party’s emphasis on local development.
