Gadwal: District Superintendent of Police T. Srinivas Rao, IPS, stressed the importance of thorough investigations for all police cases to secure convictions. He instructed officers to increase conviction rates, particularly in contested cases, and to clear all pending arrests promptly.

This directive was given during the monthly crime review meeting at the District Police Office’s conference hall. SP Srinivas Rao assessed crime patterns, security measures, and the status of unresolved cases across district police stations. He urged officers to reduce case backlogs and hasten pending investigations.

At the meeting, SP Srinivas Rao insisted that every case undergo a detailed investigation to ensure justice for victims and punishment for offenders. He warned against delays in case proceedings and emphasized officer accountability.

He further instructed police to work with judicial authorities to speed up the resolution of pending cases and ensure victims receive timely justice. Officers were told to execute non-bailable warrants promptly, especially for absconding offenders.

SP Srinivas Rao highlighted the need for convictions in contested cases from all police stations. He demanded no arrest pendency in registered cases and swift resolution of under-investigation cases.

Officers were directed to stay in daily contact with court officials and review upcoming trials. He emphasized completing investigations quickly, particularly in POCSO and SC/ST atrocity cases, and filing charge sheets in court without delay.

Urban police officials must be available at all times to monitor law and order, conduct daily vehicle checks, and perform drunk-driving tests to boost public safety.

Addressing traffic issues, SP Srinivas Rao urged officers to locate accident-prone areas (black spots) and collaborate with relevant departments to implement safety measures.

Key attendees included DSP Mogulaiah, SB Inspector Nageshwar Reddy, Circle Inspectors Ravi Babu (Alampur), Srinivas (Gadwal), Tata Babu (Shantinagar), along with all Sub-Inspectors from various police stations, IT, and Traffic SIs.
