Gadwal, Telangana: Key ministers in Telangana, including Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, Ponnam Prabhakar, Konda Surekha, and Adluri Laxman Kumar, have tasked district collectors with ensuring government welfare programs reach the most needy. Their goal is to make sure development projects benefit the poorest communities.
On Tuesday, a significant video conference was held at Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Secretariat in Hyderabad. Led by Chief Secretary Sri Ramakrishna Rao, the meeting included principal secretaries, department heads, and district collectors from across the state.
The discussion emphasized major state programs such as the Indiramma Housing Scheme, Bhoobharati Land Records System, improvements in residential school facilities, and the Vanamahotsavam plantation drive.
Jogulamba Gadwal Collector B.M. Santhosh shared the district’s progress during the meeting. He noted that:
- Hostel Welfare: Hostels for social, BC, and minority welfare are providing nutritious meals with increased diet charges. Regular checks ensure quality food and clean, green premises.
- Indiramma Housing Scheme: Eligible beneficiaries are receiving houses, with close monitoring for swift construction. Steps are in place to prevent sand shortages, ensuring smooth transport for building materials.
- Bhoobharati Land Services: Applications are processed quickly and according to rules.
- Vanamahotsavam (Plantation Drive): A detailed plan is ready to boost planting efforts, promoting environmental protection and greenery.
Participants also included additional collectors Lakshminarayana, Narsing Rao, and various district officials like Survey & Land Records Officer Deepti and Collectorate Official Srinivasa Rao.
The conference highlighted the government’s dedication to grassroots development. Collectors were encouraged to act swiftly and responsibly to improve housing, land reforms, educational infrastructure, and environmental initiatives.
