Cyberabad Traffic Police have recommended that IT and ITeS companies in Hyderabad allow employees to work from home when heavy rain is predicted. They also propose staggered work hours to reduce traffic congestion.
Recent downpours have led to severe traffic issues in the IT hub, particularly in Madhapur, where around 1.2 million people are employed. Managing traffic becomes challenging when everyone exits offices simultaneously during heavy rain.
The Society for Cyberabad Security Council (SCSC) communicated the message, emphasizing improved traffic and safety measures. Companies can plan ahead, as weather forecasts are typically available a day or so in advance.
On Tuesday, with predictions of evening or nighttime heavy rain, companies were again urged to consider remote work. This initiative aims to ease traffic flow, prevent roadblocks, and ensure emergency services remain unhindered.
The police expressed gratitude for the cooperation from companies during these times and hope this strategy enhances safety for both commuters and roads.
