The TBJP is excited for Union Home Minister Amit Shah to visit and boost morale after losing the Karnataka Assembly elections. Shah will speak at a public meeting in Khammam and the party is working to bring in at least 100,000 people. The meeting will prepare the party for the Telangana Assembly polls in November-December. Some leaders in the BJP are calling for a change in state leadership and the party has been unsuccessful in getting former MP Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy and former minister Jupally Krishna Rao to join. Both leaders were suspended by the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) for anti-party activities. Srinivasa Reddy is expected to join the Congress.
Amit Shah sought by TBJP to provide direction and energize members.
