The Telangana App-Based/Aggregator Drivers Forum has announced a statewide flash strike scheduled for Wednesday, July 22, 2026, which is expected to significantly disrupt cab and auto-rickshaw services across Cyberabad and other parts of the state. The Society for Cyberabad Security Council (SCSC) issued an advisory on July 21, 2026 at 10 PM, alerting organizations and commuters about the potential impact on app-based transport services including ride-hailing platforms.
The strike announcement comes from drivers associated with various app-based aggregator platforms operating in Telangana. The Business Resilience Command & Control (SCSC-BRCC) has released a situation report warning that the availability of app-based transport services will be severely affected throughout the day. The advisory urges both organizations and individual commuters to make alternate arrangements for their daily travel needs.
Organizations across Cyberabad have been advised to inform their employees well in advance to plan their commute accordingly. The advisory recommends companies consider implementing hybrid work arrangements where feasible, allowing employees to work from home on the strike day. Companies are also encouraged to enable alternate commute options such as arranging company transport, promoting carpooling among employees, or encouraging the use of public transport systems.
The SCSC has specifically advised employees who are dependent on app-based transport services for their daily commute to make alternate transportation arrangements. The advisory suggests commuters explore options including personal vehicles, public buses, metro rail services, or coordinating with colleagues for shared transportation. The disruption is expected to affect major tech corridors and business districts where a significant workforce relies on cab services for daily travel.
The Society for Cyberabad Security Council has stated that further updates will be shared as and when information becomes available. The council is working in coordination with the Cyberabad Police to monitor the situation and provide timely information to organizations and commuters throughout the strike period.
