Apply Now for Netannala Bharosa Scheme to Help Handloom Weavers in the District

Gadwal: The Handloom and Textile Department’s Assistant Director, Mr. Govindayya, has announced that handloom weavers in the district can now apply for the Netannala Bharosa Scheme (Weavers’ Assurance Scheme).

To qualify, weavers must actively work in handloom weaving every day and have a Geo-tag Number. Enrollment in the Thrift Fund Scheme (Pothupu Padhakam) is required, and applicants must be at least 18 years old. They should also be able to create handloom products following set guidelines.

The scheme offers financial help as an annual wage incentive: Rs. 18,000 for primary weavers and Rs. 6,000 for assistant weavers. Mr. Govindayya mentioned that products with the Telangana Standard Weaves Label are marked with a unique logo to ensure quality and authenticity of the state’s handloom products.

Weavers interested in applying must fill out Form A and Form B. They need to submit two recent passport-size photos of themselves and their assistants (if applicable), along with copies of their Aadhaar card and bank passbook. Applications must be submitted by 25th July 2025 at the Handloom and Textile Department Office, Room No. F-28, 1st Floor.
