A lively art exhibition, Deep Interiors, Return to the (Un)discovered Self, opened on Saturday at the State Art Gallery in Madhapur, Hyderabad. Curated by Sibdas Sen Gupta and organized by Gallery Dotwalk from Delhi, this event presents a diverse range of Indian artists exploring themes of identity and transformation.
Running until September 13, the exhibit is open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. It features work from 33 artists of various generations and styles, including abstract paintings, mixed media, and experimental creations. The exhibition creates a conversation between traditional and modern ideas.
Gallery Dotwalk, led by Srijit C.N., is recognized for supporting new artists and encouraging critical art discussions. With over 20 years in the Indian art scene, Srijit believes in art as a reflection of self and a link to collective awareness.
Curator Sibdas Sen Gupta describes the exhibition as an exploration of the artists’ inner worlds, forming a collective voice of introspection and discovery. The opening attracted many art lovers, critics, and students, who appreciated the exhibition’s depth and coherence.
The exhibition also includes a series of public programs throughout the week. These feature guided tours by Sen Gupta, film screenings on modern art, and talks by senior artists sharing their creative experiences and philosophies.
The State Art Gallery, known for hosting dynamic cultural events, offers a perfect backdrop for this reflective exhibition. Its spacious and light-filled setting enhances the viewer’s experience as they explore the depths of artistic thought.
As Hyderabad grows as a contemporary art center, Deep Interiors, Return to the (Un)discovered Self offers a significant contribution to the city’s cultural scene. It encourages visitors to not just view art but also reflect on their own inner journeys, making it both a personal and public experience.
