Asad asks Deputy Chief Minister for help to restore internet services

Hyderabad: Asaduddin Owaisi, MP and leader of the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM), recently met with Deputy Chief Minister and Power Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka. They discussed recent internet service issues affecting Hyderabad. Owaisi highlighted the severe challenges citizens face due to these disruptions, urging for an immediate resolution. Malakpet MLA Ahmed Bin Abdullah Balala joined him in the meeting.

Owaisi emphasized the problems caused by the internet outages for students, professionals, and businesses. He insisted that restoring internet services should be a top priority, especially in a tech hub like Hyderabad. A reliable internet connection is vital for the city, where many rely on it for education, remote work, and daily tasks.

He urged the Deputy Chief Minister to work closely with relevant departments and telecom companies to quickly resolve the issue. Bhatti Vikramarka assured the AIMIM representatives that the government would act swiftly.

The city has experienced repeated internet shutdowns recently, causing frustration among residents. Many turned to social media to express how these disruptions affected online classes, remote work, and digital transactions.

Hyderabad’s ongoing internet outage affects several areas, including Ameerpet, Balanagar, Kompally, Shaikpet, Banjara Hills, Kokapet, and Tellapur. The disruption started on August 19 following the Deputy Chief Minister’s orders. He instructed TGSPDCL officials to remove extra wires from electric poles citywide.

Additionally, Ahmed Bin Abdullah Balala met with Transco’s CMD Musharraf Faruqi to discuss the problem. The outage significantly impacts professionals, traders, delivery workers, shop owners, students, and homemakers.
