Hyderabad: On Monday, Padma Shri Aswathi Thirunal Gowri Lakshmi Bayi, a respected figure from the Travancore Royal Family, visited the Chilkur Balaji Temple with her family.
She is well-known as an author and poet, celebrated for her works on Travancore’s history and the Shri Padmanabhaswamy Temple. Her visit highlighted the deep spiritual connection between the Chilkur Balaji Temple‘s Archaka-cum-Trustee family and the Padmanabhadasa Royal Family of Travancore.
During her visit, she received the August 2025 edition of VAK Magazine. This issue contains an appeal from devotees to the Attorney General of India.
The appeal encourages him to guide the Supreme Court positively on the 143 ‘Special Reference’ regarding the constitutional roles of the Governors and the President. This event emphasized both shared spiritual traditions and a united effort to uphold constitutional values and heritage.
