A young woman from Hyderabad, who had been living with her family in Australia, was found murdered. The body of Chaitanya Madhagani, also known as Swetha, was discovered in a bin on the side of a deserted road in Buckley, west of Geelong in Victoria on Saturday.
Swetha was living with her husband and their three-year-old son in Melbourne. Local police believe that the two parties involved knew each other, and the suspect may have fled overseas. Another crime scene was established at a residential address on Mirka Way, Point Cook in southwestern Melbourne.
Authorities suspect that the woman was killed at home and her body was dumped in a bin about 82 km away. Swetha’s husband, Ashok Raj Varikuppala, recently returned to India with their son.
