    Mayawati, the national president of the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), has given approval for talks about forming an alliance with the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) in Telangana for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. BSP state president RS Praveen Kumar shared this information on Sunday.

    BSP Central Coordinator and MP, Sri Ramji, will be coming to Hyderabad soon to help guide the party in this important effort. Praveen Kumar expressed gratitude towards Mayawati for allowing advanced discussions with the BRS, clarifying that this alliance is separate from any national alliances.

    The BSP state president clarified statements made by Mayawati regarding alliances, emphasizing that the party will not be forming an alliance with any national parties like NDA or INDIA alliance. However, talks with the BRS have been given the green light by the BSP high command to continue until a seat-sharing agreement is reached.

    On March 5, BRS president K. Chandrasekhar Rao and Praveen Kumar announced that the BRS and BSP have decided to work together in the upcoming polls after a meeting. The BRS, which recently lost power to Congress in the state Assembly elections, has already named candidates for five out of the 17 Lok Sabha seats.
