Every year, the Balapur Laddu auction in Bhagyanagaram draws a lot of interest and enthusiasm. This year, the famous laddu prasad was auctioned for an incredible Rs. 35 lakhs. Lingala Dasharatha Gowda from Karmanghat won the bid.
The auction price significantly increased compared to the previous year. Last year, BJP state leader Kolan Shankar Reddy from Balapur bought the laddu for Rs. 30.01 lakhs. This year’s price was Rs. 4.99 lakhs higher than in 2022.
Gowda shared his happiness, mentioning he had tried to win the Balapur laddu for six years. He believes the Lord finally blessed him. The high level of excitement at the auction highlights how important this tradition is to the community.
