In Nalgonda, Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy highlighted the crucial role of teachers, calling them the true builders of the nation. During the Teachers’ Day celebration on Friday, honoring the birth anniversary of former President Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, he stressed how teachers guide young minds and create responsible future citizens.
As the event’s chief guest, Komatireddy honored outstanding teachers from the district, acknowledging their dedication. He noted that in India, teachers are revered just after parents. Reflecting on Dr. Radhakrishnan’s principles, he assured that the Telangana government is focused on enhancing education quality.
The minister announced the establishment of Young India Integrated Residential Schools, with each school having a budget of Rs200 crore. The first of these schools is already under construction in Nalgonda. He also mentioned ongoing efforts in teacher recruitment, infrastructure improvement, and regular training to provide quality education.
Nalgonda MP K. Raghuveer Reddy commended teachers for shaping students into responsible citizens and praised the minister for upgrading a government school with modern facilities through the Prateek Foundation. District Collector Ila Tripathi reported a 12% rise in student enrollment this year, attributing it to the hard work of teachers. She highlighted the success of Bhavitha Centers for children with special needs and noted that most mining funds are allocated to education in the district.
MLCs Shankar Naik and Nellikanti Satya emphasized the significance of teachers and encouraged them to maintain their dedication. The program was attended by SP Sharath Chandra Pawar, Additional SP Ramesh, RDO Ashok Reddy, DEO Bikshapathi, and other officials and public representatives.
