BJP National General Secretary Bandi Sanjay has challenged the Telangana government to a debate about how funds are allocated between the central and state governments. He questioned whether the Congress-led state government has contributed as much to Telangana as the central government has.
Bandi Sanjay stated that the central government has given ₹1.08 lakh crore to Telangana. He urged Congress leaders to take part in an open discussion on the issue. “If they have the courage, they should accept this debate and explain what they have done for the state,” he said.
His comments come at a time of rising political tensions between the BJP and Congress in Telangana. Both parties have been arguing over developmental projects and financial support for the state.
